1. Educational Qualification:
You can go for Interior Design course after Class 12. Depending on your understanding of the subject 
and qualification, you can take up varied courses ranging from Certificate to Diploma to Master Diploma Courses. If your results are out, and you can apply for the course with a copy of your mark sheet. If you are already pursuing Graduation or completed Graduation, you can also apply for Interior Design as a professional course. There is no requirement of any previous knowledge or experience. You can go for Interior Design course after/along with your B.A, B.Com, B.Sc or any other Bachelor’s degree. If you have done any course related to Architecture or Civil, it will help you with an extra edge.
2. Creativity:
It is good to have creative ideas for learning interior design. If you like colors, sizes, spaces, designs, 
and drawing then you can be successful in Interior Design. Interior Design includes not only the decor and looks of the house, but also the inherent building design, materials used, internal technical parts like electrical, plumbing, space design. Your creative ideas will help you grasp the concepts of space design, furniture design, modular kitchen design, aesthetics of interiors and so on – along with building materials, raw materials and design process.
3. Interest:
Another important piece of the puzzle is your interest level in Interior Design. Lot of students pursue interior design
because of the good job opportunities in this sector. But, if you do not have a strong interest and desire to excel in this field, you may not have a very flourishing career. For you to have a successful career, you should be passionate about this field. Secondly, this course require lots of practice with very little memorization. So, it is important to have strong interest levels to continuously research, design and improve your skills.
